2020
When the world shut its doors, we opened one to the hills. We built Phulsani during COVID — not as a business, but as a place our own family could escape to. Somewhere with room to breathe, water to swim in, and quiet enough to hear the river.
The build
Every corner was decided around a family table — the pool large enough for cousins to race across, a garden for evening chai, a bonfire spot for the stories that only come out after dark. We weren't designing a hotel. We were building a home.
Today
We eventually opened the gates to other families, but we never changed the rule that matters most: the whole villa goes to one group at a time. No shared pool timings, no strangers at breakfast. When you're here, it feels like it's yours. Because for that weekend, it is.
